Juju asked:

Currently studying Roman and Greek history. I was reading about how Alexander the Great was conquering Greece, Persia, Egypt, and expanding eastward. Then all of a sudden Alexander croaks, three guys split up the empire, and the chapter ends. I flip a couple pages and find myself reading about the origins of rome, then some culture, christianity, and then the Greco-Roman culture stuff that was happening in the second century BC. What happened to GREECE?
and no, this isn't for an assignment.

After Alexander died the Macedonian Empire was split…

But after a few years it started to shrink and Rome was growing, so they were conquered by the Romans….

    THE END

They were conquered by Rome, Greece eventually began to wane in power, just during the overwhelming rise of Rome.

In 168 BC the Romans defeat the Macedonians in the battle of Pydna. In 146 BC and 86 BC the Romans seize rebellious Corinth, killing all the men, selling the women into slavery and destroying the city as an example. When Athens joins King Mithridates in another rebellion against the Romans in Asia Minor they invade the city, destroy the walls and leave with the most valuable sculptures.
