Better be safe than sorry , especially if you have to prove that your intentions were only to transport the gun that will be the best support ogf your case. A single air-powered weapon can be imported by an immigrant coming from outside the EU (Article 2.6c). Visitors from the EU can import up to three such weapons, provided they are for their own personal recreational use (Article 2.10). In both cases, no permit is required but the owner should be older than 18. When in Greece, the rifle should not be carried on your person without good reason. For instance, you should be able to demonstrate that you are on your way to or from the rifling club or weaponsmith etc. It most certainly should not be carried in areas which are designated as sensitive (e.g. banks or government buildings). In all cases, the owner should be able to justify the purpose for which the weapon is carried. In addition, it is best to carry the weapon in a case, without a magazine and with the safety features engaged, so as to avoid undue confrontations with law enforcement personnel.
