Hi im from Greece and below is something for you to read about Mykonos island.
also there are ferrie to mykonos as well as air flights check out the following for airflights to mykonos.
its in greek but on the top lefthand corner you can change to english.
hope this helps you have fun and enjoy your stay.
there is no one place that is better in greece. you need time, and money to see all the wonderful sights on over in Greece.

jonathan,buddy,I like u like us.Keep going.We need your support.Obviously your friend has helped a lot to tht.Thnx!As for your question I only know tht a good and a bit unusual place to see in Greece is Santorini.Every place has its own beauty and it depends on wht you like seeing and which experience you’d prefer to go through!I don’t know how Mykonos is on January.I’ve never been there.But as for Athens I think it rains really rarely this year tht I’m surprised .Who knows.We may experience some snow on January if we are lucky enough.Parthenon in Athens,Agamemnon’s tomb in Mikines are really good for sightseeing.Enjoy!

Hello my friend!
I believe that Mykonos is not the most suitable place for someone to visit in the winter.
Greece has many many places,not only the islands that are better in spring and summer,even in autumn.But,in winter I don’t think it is a good idea.
You can stay in Athens,it is very nice or you can visit one of the many mountains that Greece has.The closest to Athens is mountain Parnassos and the village of Arahova/There is also Kalavryta in Pelopponese,Pilio in central-eastern Greece and Karpenisi(lake Plastira is wonderful there) in central-western Greece.
You should also visit Thessaloniki in Makedonia,which is the co-capital of Greece.There are also a lot of mountains close to Thessaloniki all over Makedonia that you could visit.For example you can go to Pisoderi close to Florina and to the Prespes lakes.
