Juju asked: Currently studying Roman and Greek history. I was reading about how Alexander the Great was conquering Greece, Persia, Egypt, and expanding eastward. Then all of a sudden Alexander croaks, three guys split up the empire, and the chapter ends. I flip a couple pages and find myself reading about the origins of rome, then some culture, christianity, and then the Greco-Roman culture stuff that was happening in the second century BC. What happened to GREECE?
and no, this isn't for an assignment.

an anonymous person asked: I heard that the Greece National Anthem was 158 lines or something like that. So when I looked on Google, it had the anthem only about twenty lines long. I don't know if it's the same anthem, or if something is wrong, but I really want to know what the lyrics are! Please help!

Panagiotis asked: A third of Greeks live close to the poverty line or under, a new survey has found.
The survey conducted last month by Kapa Research, a surveys company, and The London School of Economics on behalf of the ministry of economy found that poverty has begun to threaten social cohesion.
The survey says that slowly but steadily a 'third world' is being created inside Greece.
IS THIS TRUE?

Greek_Warrior asked: I have noticed that many major cities and islands in Greece and Cyprus have anglicised versions. For example:
Athens instead of Athina
Salonica instead of Thessaloniki
Nicosia instead of Lefkosia
Famagusta instead of Ammochostos
Corfu instead of Kerkyra
Crete instead of Kriti
The list is endless. Why didn't they just call the capital 'Athina' instead of changing it to 'Athens'?
